IV7: How to forward activity details without losing their source
IV7 sharing guide: preserve the source, update time and relevant conditions so a forwarded activity message can still be checked later.
A forwarded announcement can become less useful each time somebody shortens it. The first person removes a long heading, the next crops a date, and the third adds “still open” above an older image. When IV7 appears in such a chain, the reader needs more than an attractive screenshot. A useful share preserves the route back to the information and makes clear when the sender last checked the details.

## Three dates in one notice
Take an invented activity notice with a title, reference A17, a details page and an update marked 18 October 2026, 16:00 IST. The notice says enquiries close on 22 October at 18:00 IST. A reader views it on 20 October at 09:15 IST. These are three different pieces of time information: source update, stated deadline and personal checking time. None should replace another simply to make the caption shorter.
Begin your share with the subject and source. “Activity A17, details from the named notice” is more traceable than “new benefit here”. Keep the original page address when one is provided, or state the channel and message reference if that is the actual source. The recipient should be able to identify the same item without guessing from a logo, a partial name or the sender's enthusiasm about it.
Next preserve the conditions that determine whether the notice is relevant. In our example, suppose the notice concerns readers who submitted an interest form before a stated earlier date. Cropping that sentence would change the apparent audience. A share can be brief while still including the condition. If the source itself does not state eligibility, write that it needs confirmation; do not fill the gap with a broad phrase such as “for everyone”.
## Separate source and commentary
We keep source wording and our own comments visibly separate. A sentence such as “The notice states the enquiry deadline above; I checked the page this morning” distinguishes a quoted condition from an observation. “Confirmed open until Thursday” may imply a fresh service confirmation that never happened. Precision here is not about formal language. It allows a friend reading quickly on a phone to tell which statement came from which person.
For an IV7 screenshot, retain enough surrounding context to show what the date belongs to. A date beside “updated” is not necessarily the participation deadline. If a large image cannot show both the condition and the source, send the source reference in the accompanying text. Do not expect the recipient to reconstruct missing conditions from a thumbnail, and do not cover important lines with your own promotional caption or stickers.

A practical caption for the example is: “A17 details; source updated 18 October, 16:00 IST. Notice lists enquiry closure as 22 October, 18:00 IST. I viewed it on 20 October, 09:15 IST. Earlier form submission is a stated condition; please read the full details.” The caption is longer than “join fast”, but it communicates actual facts and leaves the recipient with a clear way to examine the remaining requirements.
## When the source is unavailable
What if the sender can no longer open the source? Keep the old item labelled as an older copy and say the current details have not been checked. A missing route is a limitation of the share, not permission to invent a current status. If a later notice appears, connect it with the earlier reference and describe the stated change. Sending both without explanation makes the recipient do the comparison from scratch.
Before forwarding again, ask three practical questions. Can the next reader identify the exact notice? Can they distinguish its update from my checking time? Can they see the condition most likely to alter their decision to enquire? These questions catch omissions that proofreading for spelling will miss. They also make it easier to correct a share: send a specific missing date or condition, rather than a vague instruction to ignore previous messages.
For IV7 app or activity enquiries, a source reference and a named unresolved field are especially helpful. “Does A17 have a newer eligibility notice after the 18 October update?” is more answerable than “is this true?” Your forwarded message should carry information far enough for someone else to check it, while keeping uncertain status visibly uncertain. That small discipline protects the meaning of the original notice as it travels through several conversations.
