EK1 Game: check the same problem before and after an Android update
Prepare an EK1 Game update comparison with the installed version, a repeatable task and clear observations before testing the same steps again.
The update finishes and an app looks different. Has the original problem improved? A new colour or a faster opening screen does not answer that question if the difficulty was opening a particular rules page. For EK1 Game readers, we suggest a small comparison built around one task. At Sokblog, we build the comparison from the task the reader wants to finish, preserving both the old symptom and the new observation.

Give the problem a repeatable shape
Consider an invented example: version 1.4 displays a blank panel when a reader opens Help, selects Rules and chooses Example Two. The useful description includes those three steps and the blank panel, not simply “Help broken”. Also note the date, phone model, Android version and connection type. These details define the circumstances in which the observation occurred. They need not include private account information that is irrelevant to this display problem.
Record the installed app version from the app's available information screen or the relevant device information. Copy the complete label rather than rounding 1.4.7 to 1.4, if the longer label is what is shown. Software can use several kinds of version labels, so preserve the wording beside the number. A store listing may describe a release without proving that it is already installed on this particular phone; keep installed and available information distinct.
Before updating, perform the stated task once and describe the response. In our paper log: Help opens; Rules list appears; Example Two opens an empty panel after five seconds. That identifies the failing step and distinguishes it from a whole-app launch problem. A screenshot can preserve the empty panel and its heading. Keep the preceding steps in text, since a still image cannot show which route brought the reader to that point.
Follow the update route that applies
For apps distributed through Google Play, Google's manual-update guidance uses the profile menu, Manage apps & device, Updates available and the app's Update option. That guidance explains the Play process; it does not establish that EK1 Game is listed there. Follow the distribution and update instructions applicable to the app you actually have. Do not confuse a changed store page, a downloaded file and a completed installed update as one event.
After completion, check the installed version again. Suppose our example now shows 1.5. Repeat Help, Rules, Example Two with the same phone, connection type and orientation where practical. The comparison is strongest when the input task stays stable. If you also change networks, reset settings and choose a different example, a different result becomes harder to attribute. Those changes may be useful later, but record them as separate conditions rather than hiding them inside this update check.

Read the outcome narrowly
Three possible findings deserve different wording. If Example Two now displays its text, the observed blank-panel problem no longer occurs in this attempt. If it stays empty, the original symptom remains. If the menu has moved and Example Two cannot be found, the old task has not yet been tested; navigation first needs resolving. Calling all three outcomes “update successful” loses the distinction between installation, discoverability and the behaviour being checked.
We would also retain a partial improvement. Suppose the heading loads after updating, but the example text remains absent. That is a visible change, yet it does not complete the original reading task. Describe both parts: heading present, body blank. This gives a clearer account than alternating between fixed and broken. It can also help someone explaining the issue recognise that two parts of the panel are behaving differently under the new version.
An EK1 Game comparison note can fit in one message: “Installed version changed from 1.4 to 1.5. On the same phone, Help > Rules > Example Two still shows its heading without text. Other examples open.” The last sentence matters if actually observed, because it narrows the problem to one item. Keep observations separate from guesses about its cause. A reader can report an exact symptom without claiming to know the application's internal implementation.
Return to the original purpose: reading Example Two. In the fully improved example, the same route now opens both heading and explanation, so the user can complete that task. The update label is supporting context, not the result itself. That is the useful EK1 Game habit: define the task before updating and judge the afterwards state against it. A change is meaningful when the action that previously stopped short can now reach its intended visible outcome.
